Please be careful with open burning. Your EUFR Open Burning Permit gives you instructions for safe, open burning. Basically, yard debris and clippings are the only items we all are authorized to burn. Your fire district has limited staffing which allows us to provide suppression only. Enforcement comes from the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Department, the Oregon State Fire Marshall and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. Remember – We want what you want: safe, trouble-free open burning and no unnecessary involvement. BE SAFE!
